Happy 64th Birthday Lewis!

Today would have been Lewis Grizzard’s 64th birthday. So in honor of that, here are some of my favorite quotes of his. He is just too funny and wise!

“The game of life is a lot like football. You have to tackle your problems, block your fears, and score your points when you get the opportunity.”

“It’s difficult to think anything but pleasant thoughts while eating a homegrown tomato.”

“The only way I could figure they could improve upon Coca-Cola, one of life’s most delightful elixirs, which studies prove will heal the sick and occasionally raise the dead, is to put rum or bourbon in it.”

“Giving Northeners unbuttered instant grits is an old remedy for tourists.”

“Dorsey Hill thinks when you die you go to Vince Dooley’s house. He can’t wait.”

P.S.- My first pet, probably cat just because they’re easier, is going to be named Lewis. I’ve said for a long time that my first dawg will be named Herschel. Even though Kathleen thinks that Herschel is overused. I disagree. And if anyone copies my names, I will give you dirty looks until the day I die.

  1. My son’s name will be Walker and my dog’s name will be Munson. Proof that I have dibs on those.

Okay, and my son’s name is going to be Butler, so I have dibs on that one. hahaha I think that’s all of the kids names that I want after Georgia players. The rest of the pets are still TBD.

Thanks for the shout out haha I like Lewis for pet’s name. And it’d be ok for you to name your dog Herschel because you are a true Georgia fan.
