My Favorite Christmas MoviesPosted: December 13, 2010
Here is a list of some of my favorite Christmas movies in no particular order.
And no, A Christmas Story is NOT on this list because I don’t like that movie. Sorry. But geez, I hate listening to a kid bitch because he wants some toy and his mom keeps telling him he’s going to shoot his eye out and THEN HE DOES. Because seriously? Everyone knows that can’t happen.
Sorry. This was supposed to be a happy blog!
White Christmas– I LOVE the music from this old movie. Perfect for the Christmas season. Although living in Georgia, I don’t ever remember a white Christmas.
Elf– A new classic that is seriously funny all year long! One of the most quotable movies, EVER. “Buddy the Elf, what’s your favorite color?” “The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear.” “Smiling’s my favorite.” “You sit on a throne of lies.” Really, do I need to go on?
How The Grinch Stole Christmas (the animated version)- I recently took a quiz that told me my personality based on my favorite Christmas movie, and based on this being my favorite movie, I don’t like Christmas. To the person that made that quiz, I say, “YOU SIT ON A THRONE OF LIES.”
Home Alone and Home Alone 2– Funny movies where the bad guys get hurt= fabulous!
It’s a Wonderful Life– This can’t not be on the list. You know that.
Love Actually– I love this movie about how we are all inter-connected with each other. So great and made even better by being set during the Christmas season.
Miracle on 34th Street (the old and new one)- I must say though, I do really love the new one with the girl that played Matilda. What ever happened to her? Anyway, this movie is perfect for all the Grinches and Scrooges out there who need a reason to believe!
