Since football season began, our Saturday morning roommate breakfasts have been postponed. But Sunday before Wicked, Jamie and Kacina came over a little early so we could have brunch. Jamie brought fruit and made these awesome sausage and cheese muffins that were basically a huge, fluffy sausage ball. So Sarah and I made a cream cheese danish recipe that I got from Tori several years ago. Well, Sarah made it while I fixed my hair. But the recipe was mine.
This recipe is super easy and can definitely be made the night before.
Cream Cheese Danish
2 packages of crescent rolls
2 8 oz. of cream cheese
3/4 cup of sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg white + 1/4 cup of sugar
Spread 1 package of crescent rolls in a Corning dish sprayed with Pam. Pinch together seams. Beat cream cheese, 3/4 c. of sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth. Pour over crescent rolls. Spread remaining crescent rolls over filling, pinching seams. Combine egg whites and 1/4 c. of sugar and brush over top. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
Really, it’s like dessert for breakfast! Soooo yummy!
